Fuelled by my interest in journalism and wanting to experience more hands-on and on-the-ground experience, I joined the student-led, independent news site Soapbox.sg in my first year of university. Over the past year, I produced 11 stories and shared two by-lines with my peers. In 2022, I took over the role of editor and oversaw the news content put out by the club. My time at Soapbox.sg further cemented my belief that a news platform is an influential tool that can draw people's attention to an issue and raise awareness about a problem or situation.

Some of my best works include an exclusive interview with an alleged victim of voyeurism on campus, an exclusive interview with the chief executive of food delivery platform Cates on the problem of food delivery parcel theft, and campus games-related news.
